We have minecraft 1.8.9 but none of the 1.8 versions above work. I keep getting the error message “Lucky Block (lucky) wants Minecraft [1.8.1.8], so it doesn’t look like this is really working for Minecraft 1.8.9???

enable : use previous versions of MC in the “edit profile” window, then select 1.8.8 from drag down list.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bear, but when I go to the Forge profile and edit it by checking “Allow use of old “Alpha” Minecraft vresions” and select ‘release 1.8.8’ or any other release, the mod doesn’t run (there are no lucky blocks). The only version that seems to activate the mod is ‘release 1.8.8-forge 1.8.8-11.15.0.1596-1.8.8’ and this is the one that crashes with my original error message. Not sure what I’m doing wrong….??

I’m not sure if 1.8.8 will run a 1.8 mod, but if you wanna try it, all you have to do is download and install forge 1.8.8(as opposed to 1.8.9) the same way you installed 1.8.9 forge, then when selecting the game version, go to forge 1.8.8 with the lucky block mod in the mods folder.

This is what I did. Went to files_minecraftforge_net and selected Minecraft version 1.8. Downloaded and installed 1.8 – 11.14.4.1563 (didn’t uninstall 1.8.9 Forge). Open launcher; click “New profile”; name whatever you want; select “release 1.8-forge1.8-11.14.4.1563” in user version; save profile; select your newly created profile; hit PLAY. You should be running Minecraft 1.8 with the lucky block mod loaded
